Linked In’s vision for this marketplace is to help New York City graphic designers like me land new clients. I’m currently part of an exclusive group because of my impressive LinkedIn profile. Linked In started testing ProFinder in the SF Bay Area, and they want me to be one of the first graphic designers to try it in New York. With ProFinder, potential clients looking for designers will share their requests. They’ll send those leads to me, and I can respond to the ones I’m interested in. Best of all, participation in the pilot is free. Learn how you can get involved here: ProFinder

Facebook Scam Perpetrated by Facebook Facebook Has Gone Too Far! Earlier today I got bumped out of Facebook with the following warning: I then immediately quit all of my running software on my Mac and ran virus protection software: ClamAV / AdwareMedic; Malware detection application. Both of which reported my system was clean. I then returned to Facebook to try to login again. I was greeted with the warning again. Is Linkedin worth the time?

By | Asbury Park, Branding, Eatontown, Facebook, Graphic artist, Graphic Design, Instagram, Linkedin, Long Branch, Marketing, NJ, Oakhurst, Pinterest, Small Business Marketing, Social Media, Twitter, West Long Branch, YELP! | No Comments

Do you get business from Linkedin? I’ve been on linkedin since 2003. I have over 45 recommendations, 900 endorsements, and 1,500 connections. I was even recognized by Linkedin for having one of the top 5% most view profiles on linkedin in 2012. Yet as far as I know I’ve only gotten a handful of clients here. When I compare Linkedin to other social media platforms it just doesn’t stand up. I hear Social Media experts tout Linkedin all the time, but I wonder if they are just trying to sell or justify their services. SO my question to you stands: Is LinkedIN worth the time and if you are finding success on Linkedin how are using it? Thank you for your comments.
